Droga5, Sydney
The long awaited VB Beer campaign launched with a two minute launch commercial before the first ballof the Ashes Cricket series against England. The scale of the production demanded a cast that is a combo ofprofessionals, CUB employees, punters straight off the street plus somewell known faces. There are cameos from Australian sports stars andpersonalities including Michael Clarke, Wally Lewis, Paul De Gelder,Scott Cam, Molly Meldrum, Peter Russell Clarke, Dean Jones, MichaelKlim, Billy Brownless and Greg Evans.
Droga5, Sydney
Three exhausted Aussie twits completed the 4320LA.com challenge to tweet every minute for three straight days in LA to promote V Australia’s short breaks in LA. The three contestants survived livetattooing, waxing, in-fighting and insomnia to pull off the stunt, which was picked up by Channel 9’s Today Show and has beenfeatured on local media in the states too.
Droga5, Sydney
Teams of regular Australians compete to construct an ingeniouslydesigned Pop Up Pub in less than 60 seconds as part of VB’s summerpromotion by Droga5 Sydney. The promo is based on the fact that guys like to drink together. Andwhen they drink together they generally like to stand around somethinglike a fire, a table or a BBQ. That’s how the Pop Up Pub was born. It’san experiential extension of the VB brand that made sense, while alsobuilding on the success of the 2009 ‘The Drinking Beer’ campaign.
Grey, Melbourne
The aim of this Grey Melbourne spot is to disabuse drivers of thenotion that it’s OK to drive after smoking a joint. It’s a simplestory, simply told by Sean Meehan of Soma Films.
Grey, Melbourne
Grey Melbourne uses the 20th anniversary of the TAC campaign to warn people to drive safely in the Christmas period.
Grey, Melbourne
Who would catch the best salmon and tuna which is then perfectly cutinto slices by John West? Perfectly cut John West fisherman on course.
Clemenger BBDO, Sydney
St Vincent de Paul is a grassroots organisation that provides a support network for the homeless. But talk of homelessness has become cheap. Personal realities too often concealed behind a cloud of needy rhetoric and charity advertising conventions. St Vincent de Paul needed a campaign that cut through this rhetoric to provoke a heartfelt response from both existing and new donors.
