303 Perth launches new print executions in ‘Healthy Weight – Draw the Line’ campaign

303 Perth adds another layer in the campaign for the Heart Foundation WA and the WA Department of Health by extending the ‘Healthy Weight – Draw the Line’ campaign which they created over a year ago. This campaign advises consumers to be wary of the amount of sugar in soft drinks.
New print ads warn people about the 10 teaspoons of sugar in every soft drink which is more than people realise. The tagline is: “You wouldn’t eat it – why drink it? Draw the line of gaining weight.”
Print ads started this week. There’s also a radio component.
Client: Heart Foundation
Campaign: This is an extension of the Healthy Weight – Draw the Line campaign.
Creative:
Tony Williams
Lindsay Medalia
Business management:
Jo Walker / Lana Abro
Sam Hassell / Dean Thompson

Great print ads. Love the visual.
Sweet.
Like the idea.
Love the ‘homage’ to the Coca Cola logo.
You had me at the headline. A simple side-by-side, Sugar VS Can would’ve been enough to satisfied my visual needs.
Nice work.
Why would you put this on the CB site? Looks like it’s done by bunch of ad school students.
thing is, i would eat it!
At least have the balls to use the actual Coke logo and then turn the ensuing court battle into a David v Goliath social media spectacular. There are more than enough bloggers, tweeters and Facebook fans out there to stand behind the agency and force Coke into a humiliating climbdown while spreading the message way beyond a half-baked airbrush execution. Missed opportunity.
“303 Perth adds another layer” Well I hope the didn’t open a job bag for these.
This is the Ad of the Year. The year is 1993.
Great art work!
Not sure if these concepts quite work though. Cool visuals but they’d be better suited to a campaign for fruit flavoured soft drinks – the pear shaped can for Pear flavoured fizzy drink etc.
Simple and I bet effective.
The consumer is not an idiot, she is your wife.
Actually, when we look at some of the ads on this site, we roll in our graves.
I did this idea at Award School back in the 90s. So did two other people in my class. We were told to keep going and push for a better idea. Someone should’ve told 303
poor perth, too simple

Before you pick on Perth, start doing better work with your big, shiny Coke briefs, over in the East.

That art direction sure looks familiar

Good idea I should move to the East
303 needs to be pushed sigh. Poor Perth
Isn’t this cliche???
people usually post their best work on the blog. what must the rest of what they do be like then. scary…
Pick the creatives who have never cracked a Government brief.
Why settle for a tacky first thought Athena poster execution when the web gifts you stuff like this: http://fx.worth1000.com/contests/1735/feeding-time-1
Did Simon see this?

You’re wrong. This is actually a very brave ad for a government client to agree to run.
“Pear flavoured fizzy drink”? Are you serious? That’s an even more foul concept.
Why was this story just removed from the CB WA site?
