One Show winners announced: Mojo Sydney’s ‘Pure Waters’ collects Gold and Silver Pencils
NEW YORK – The One Club announced the Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencil winners last night at the 35th Annual One Show. The ceremony, which took place at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, saw Publicis Mojo Sydney take home a Gold and Silver Pencil, while Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney and Campaign Palace Sydney each collected a Bronze Pencil.

Publics Mojo’s Gold and Silver Pencil was for its Lion Nathan ‘Pure Waters’ campaign (see top), The Campaign Palace won Bronze for its Panasonic ‘Climber’ TVC (middle), while Saatchi’s Bronze was for its Pedestrian Council of Australia ‘The Ross Family’ etc campaign (bottom).

“This year’s One Show winners truly reflect the global nature of today’s creativity,” said Mary Warlick, CEO of The One Club. “Advertising is now shared and viewed all around the world, and the work that was awarded tonight showcased brilliant marketing solutions that transcended borders.”
This year’s Green Pencil Award, which recognizes outstanding work that is environmentally friendly or smart, was presented by leading eco-lifestyle expert Danny Seo, to the Berghs School of Communication and Stockholm University in Sweden. This was the first time student work has been recognized with a Green Pencil.

What about Bammercise?
I love that road safety print work. A powerful visual execution with an insight that rings so deeply true. Fantastic!
Awesome effort Palace Sydney. Congrats to all.
Bammercise is the One Show.
If they chuck the silver into the water it should come out gold.
Hey Presto!
Congrats all. A bit suprised at the best of show. Seen it, it feels like a corporate video and it’s a massive who gives a shit! The test of a good idea isn’t if it can be done in one shot is it? The man your man could smell like… That’s an ad! Still makes me laugh hard and wee in my pants just a tiny tiny tiny amount. The guy ended up on oprah for god sake. Has an ad ever done that for an actor? It was an absolute viral sensation too. Still, you’d be happy with gold.
Pure Waters deserves everything it gets and more. It’s wonderful piece of advertising, brilliantly executed by a brilliant director.
5:33 – me too. It’s a great and difficult shoot, especially to get the timing right but the more you watch it the more holes you see in it. Robert Carlisle’s delivery is actually far from perfect, he pauses to read the teleprompter located down near his knees quite a few times.
On the contrary the Old Spice shoot, the more you watch it the more you go ‘how fucking amazing is this’ – even when you know it was all done in one shot with no post (except painting out the wires and the diamonds coming from his hand). Getting that guy onto a crane that carries him across to the horse – wow.
However as far as ideas are concerned, neither of the above get me excited. Smell like a man, man sounds like they added an extra word to the brief and the man who walked around the world – not much of a leap either.
Just two beautifully written, nicely crafted and superbly shot scripts. Goes to show. Simple is best.
10:34. Settle down. Show some humility.
