Forsythe and Reeder join Brilliant Films

mattabe[1].jpgAward winning Director and Producer team, Abe Forsythe and Matt Reeder, have been signed by Sydney based Production company, Brilliant Films.

The dynamics between this duo have proved a success, apparent in their recent triumph of awards, winning Tropfest short film ‘Shock’ and ‘GPS’ – winner of the 2010 Pepsi Short film competition.

“The strength that exists within this team is attributed to each individual in their own right,” says executive producer Stephanie Ceccaldi, who recognised the talent in Forsythe and Reeder through the strength of their CV’s.

Forsythe’svast skill set sees his resume blow out from writing, directing andstarring in feature comedy ‘Ned’ which was released theatrically inAustralia by Icon Entertainment (2003), writing and directing one ofthe internet’s most successful long form movies ‘Computer Boy’ as wellas winning an AFI for his performance in the ABC drama ‘Marking Time’;to name a few, whilst Reeder’s endeavors and successes include theworld premiere of his feature ‘West’ at the 2007 Berlin Film Festival andtaking home the 2002 Dendy Award at the Sydney Film Festival for ‘NewSkin’.

Both Forsythe and Reeder have successfully worked within the commercial industry and are looking forward to their creative endeavors with Brilliant. 

“In my work I’ve truly thrived when in collaboration with a great team. One of the many reasons why Brilliant Films is a fantastic place for Matt and myself to join forces with,” says Forsythe.

Adds Reeder: “We are both so excited by the prospect of what this new collaboration holds.”
