World Cup countdown begins as Sony releases consumer promo campaign via Saatchi’s Sydney

Screen shot 2010-05-05 at 1.11.18 PM.pngAs the only official electronics company to partner with FIFA and the Qantas Socceroos, Sony, via agency Saatchi & Saatchi, Sydney, has begun the countdown to the 2010 FIFA World Cup with a series of consumer promotions. Celebrating the FIFA World Cup, the four promotions will run across Sony’s key product categories including BRAVIA, Handycam, Cyber-shot and VAIO.

 

Sony ambassador and Qantas Socceroo Tim Cahill appears as the face of Sony’s FIFA World Cup promotions, including a TV commercial to support the BRAVIA promotion, with 45,000 bonus PlayStation consoles on offer with the purchase of a selected BRAVIA TV.

“The anticipation for the 2010 FIFA World Cup is mounting and we’reexcited to be building on the momentum with the release of a series ofexclusive Sony offers for Australian consumers,” said Ruben Lawrence,Strategic Partnerships Manager, Sony Australia. “As an extension of our’Feel what they Feel’ campaign, these bonus offers will ensureelectronics shoppers do not miss out on the FIFA World Cup action.”
