Have to agree with the Herald article. It does feel like a government department ad. ‘Ruby League, we’re heading in the right direction.’ Safe and dull. That’s research for ya.
Very hard to feel alive when I’m being bored to death.
The best game in the world deservers better!!!!
This NRL is run by a bunch of scared little muppets.
A good ad for rugby union.
Hey 1.07 it’s a fucking great ad for rugby union
Bring back Tina Turner’s “What you get is what you see”. I heard that song in a spin class recently and it still makes me think of League…. Must be over 20 years old but still relevant and still good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXIzp0ok24I
Imagine the brief…we need to engage with the community, grassroots, blah, blah, blah. Then research the shit out of it, dull it down and play back a CSA to the fans.
One of the worlds greatest games deserves much better than this.
A scared client who is being mowed down by the marketing juggernaut that is AFL.
Melbourne have won this fight…again!
I’m a big fan of Rugby League and I can’t wait for the season to start. Every year I look forward to seeing the launch film, but this year it’s just “Plain Lame Jane” Sorry. Just give me a “Gladiator” style ad any day… Afterall that’s why I watch the game.
I like it.
Can’t wait until Saturday.
How can this be so badly fucked up? This is a shite attempt at trying to make the hair stand up on end. Fuck.
Maybe it’s a hoax campaign, I dunno a new i-league 360 we deliberately fucked up to get peoples attention job. Well done guys.
Go Manly.
Really guys, the commercial MJW conjured focusing on the supporter, is about the only one that could have been made – unless of course it was montage of every rugby league player saying to camera, ‘sorry’.
And meaning it.
The supporters hold the faith, it’s just the players who are a pack of fuck-fit, neck less thugs.
Go Bunnies.
