Trading Post uses Adshel Sound Stations
Telstra recently revealed its latest campaign for the Trading Post – solving the mystery which the unbranded teaser campaign generated in the last few weeks. The Adshel Sound Station campaign provides an extension to the TVC, and features the same unique ‘goat’ and ‘frog’ characters.
The catchphrase ‘Baaaaargain, Reckon’ attracts commuters’ attention to the poster as soon as they pass an Adshel sound-panel and continues on a loop throughout the day. The Sound Stations are concentrated in fast moving high traffic sites on the street or within key rail stations, in Sydney and Melbourne CBD’s.
The Sound Station campaign follows an unbranded teaser outdoor campaign which introduced the two unlikely mascots – the frog sitting on the goats head – with the outdoor component seamlessly integrating with the TVC and the fun and engaging new Trading Post website. The campaign was created by BWM, OMD and Adshel.
The campaign follows the unveiling of the Trading Posts new logo and supports the decision to scrap its printed edition.

Telstra…isn’t this part of the Optus campaign?
I guess we have to see the telly to really get it then. Not really working as a stand-alone.
Without seeing tv it seems like a ‘Bud – weise – er’ a bit of a homage to the frog on the lily pad ad to me.
But have to see tv to figure out what a goat and a frog has to do with buying and selling stuff.
Baffled for now.
one froggy evening is a great cartoon
Like it. Takes something completely boring and ads flavour. Nice work.
Love the new trend where one media execution has to explain another.
Next big thing will be to run the brief.
Worst. Ad. Ever.
