Gee, it’s funny 4:13. That wasn’t my take out at all. But seeing it through your eyes I think I might just go and shoot myself in the face.
This gets four and a half Sham-Wows out of five from me.
Still the worlds most popular small car, what a load of rubbish! car yards are full of them. The Ninja kittens spot, although weird for a car ad looked brilliant and positioned the brand as cool and edgy, something for the young rather than old.
Would somebody please think of the consumer? says:
Is there a better way to position Australia’s most popular car than ‘some people will do almost anything to get their hands on…’?
AWARD students: Get to work, and send your stuff in to Publicis. Take their jobs, they don’t deserve them.
For all you negative twats out there: Creating automotive commercials in the middle of the worst slump of sales in history is not a picnic in the park. Yes, the ad ain’t great, they should have not PR it that’s for sure. But jesus, people it ain’t easy out there at the moment to do anything remotely edgy. Clients came back from the holidays worst than ever.
Stop making excuses 11:36. Its rubbish, not edgy. The brief is the world’s most popular small car. That’s something to be proud of. But after watching this, I don’t think even existing Corolla drivers would be patting themselves on the back for buying one. Too smart by half.
I don’t know what you’re all on about. I really liked it. Funny, well shot and a good execution. Love the guys hiding in the horses.
There’s plenty of crap on this site but this isn’t some of it.
Obviously Mojo shat in someone’s sandwich recently. Play the ball, not the man people. I’m just happy to see a brand ad for a car that doesn’t have loads of people touching someone’s arse.
The assholes come to comment as usual.
This is the exact reason I promised the PR people in our agency that id they ever put a job on this site, regardless of how good, i will carve their eyes out with a spoon.
How the hell was Ninja kittens a disaster?
Steve you’re a retard.
I like this ad, Its better than most.
Wow. these comments just keep getting worse and worse. So undeserved. You bitter old fucks. And 1:55, if that is your way of saying this has been done you need to be shot. Multiple times.

Just because there is a truck and an animal on the road does not make it the same ad. With that criteria, we would only have made about 10 ads ever.
FUCK I hate you assholes on this blog.
I hope you all die screaming from AIDS.
It’s a very watchable, fun TV ad, so well done there.
I think some of the negativity is being generated by the fact that whilst the ad focuses on the popularity of the car – it fails to leave the viewer with anything that is uniquely associated with Corolla.
A lot of ads seem to forget the bleeding obvious when they are closing the sale and in this instance the obvious is that a Corolla is a “small” car (and the world’s favourite small car at that).
That’s where the ad should take you but it doesn’t.
Nice bit of film though.
You bitches all have PMS.
It is a nice ad for a difficult client. Anyone who has worked on cars knows how hard it is.
It isn’t beer.
What is with all the hate?
i think everyone is forgetting what an unbelievably difficult time it is to create ads for a notoriously difficult client. The bitterness seems more directed at mojo than the ad, which is okay…better than a car driving around for 40 seconds. Is ‘the world’s most popular car’ a great platform…not really, but I hardly think that was what mojo really wanted to make.
Personally I think this is really sweet. There is no doubt that this will stand out and that Corolla prospects will enjoy it. The real problem seems to be a weak strategy/benefit – but that’s no fault of the creatives…
Doesn’t look that great. You are trying to find a redeeming quality in a very mediocre piece of work. Unfortunately, the execution does not lift it in this case.

It’s like grand theft auto meets advertising, but all the people stealing the cars have a pomeranian decoy and super expensive props they made themselves and… and.. they’re stealing camrys instead of super gts!
Truth in advertising rocks.

Doesn’t that jump at the end just kill any spot….kills the coolness, kills the style, kills the ad. nice till the jump. kill the jump already.
Hmm. So Toyota endorses carjacking and theft, eh! If you really like something it’s alright to steal it. Great messaging. Really socially responsible.

That’s the first truck driver i’ve ever seen brake for a pomeranium.
worst car ad of the decade.
love it!
OMG……..how can the agency that did the Boags ad do this? Unutterably bad.
From the agency that only makes one great ad a year – I hope this isn’t it.

The grade is the proverbial polish.

Looks like another Ninja Kittens disaster…

EL G…..if this is better than most of the work you produce i’d be worried…..and i certainly wouldn’t be admitting to it.
I reckon it’s pretty, pretty, preeeeetty good. The general public will like it too.
It doesn’t do much for Corolla, but does provide a possible clue to the disguise techniques being employed by that pesky Mr bin Laden.
D’oh

Imagine that as a poster.

I think the only bitterness comes from people defending this.

Dunno if it’ll work but it looks bloody fantastic.

Supposedly LifeLock will be on the hook for 30 million dollars and not 11 million as was most often reported.
