After a decade in Australia VCCP Sydney closes shop
A decade after launching in Australia in late 2012, VCCP has closed its Sydney agency, a victim of the economic effects of the pandemic.
Says a spokesperson from VCCP: “Following the many wide-ranging impacts caused by the global pandemic VCCP has taken the difficult decision to close its operation in Sydney.
“We are in discussions with a partner in the region to explore a strategic alliance that could facilitate the transition of our people and clients following the closure.
“We are hugely proud of what VCCP Sydney has achieved in the market since the office first opened a decade ago and we would like to thank all our staff and clients who have worked with us during this period.
“Watermelon, Someone and Sling & Stone are all unaffected by this news and continue to show strong growth in the market. As a group we remain committed to these businesses and the Australian market.”

This is truly awful news. My heart goes out to the staff and their families.
Couldn’t agree more. Wishing everyone the very best.
Big business have convinced the Reserve bank and Government to first ‘let it rip’ and now crash the economy to engineer ‘productivity’ – this is what happens. A shame, some really good people worked there.
Never kicked on after a good run back in, I want to say, 2015? Whenever they released the first Isla ING work and did “How Fit Feels” for Fitness First.
No matter the work, never like to see it happen to good people.
Always sad to hear news like this. Wishing everyone the very best for their next chapter.
!
Surely by now, you would have figured out the alternatives are not viable
Bring more poms over, that’ll solve everything.
So sad. What a shame. All the best going forward.
All that creative talent and entrepreneurship just wasted.
Really tried but didn’t quite hit the mark. All the best to those involved.
Heartbreaking news, a wonderful agency with a truly impressive team. Wishing the best to all affected.
