The Work 2020 Contenders: Fenton Stephens

With Cannes Lions and LIA postponed until 2021, Campaign Brief is still out to recognise and showcase the great work that is being produced in the region. So we are introducing The Work 2020 Contenders.

iSelect: The Billusionist – Health Campaign
Fenton Stephens
After successfully launching iSelect’s ‘Billusionist’ in 2018, we were tasked with creating a series of new health insurance spots. With the challenge to ‘up the ante’ this time. And that we did. With ninja star bills, cannons to the face and fire breathing bill kebabs via Exit and international director Michael Clowater.

YourBreast: Faceboobs
Fenton Stephens
YourBreast, one of the leading breast augmentation centres in Australia, called us with a big problem. All of their advertising had been banned by their only advertising platform, Facebook, for breaching the nudity policy. Even their ads that didn’t have boobs in them were banned for linking to their website (which obviously did have boobs on it). Rather than see this as a disaster, we took it as an opportunity to completely change the category. Instead of the industry norm of airbrushed insta-models, we collaborated with Spanish Illustrator, Cristina Nogales, to create 80 pairs of watercoloured boobs. This allowed us to run informative down-to-earth messaging (that was still full of boobs) without breaching Facebook’s nudity policy. And increase leads by 90%.

Campaign Brief: Comments By Candelight
Fenton Stephens
We all love Campaign Brief. It’s where all the best work, people and stories of our industry come together. The one component that isn’t the best representation of us is the comments section. Often descending into a hotbed of anonymous hate and vitriol. For Christmas 2019, we endeavored to do the impossible. To get everyone in advertising to be post nice comments using their REAL NAME for Christmas. And how did we do that? With presents. Handmade presents, in fact, by all of our agency staff. Other than the grand prize, the TITANIUM GRAND PRIX FOR BEST USE OF NICE COMMENTS ON CAMPAIGN BRIEF which was a trip to the North Pole (of Australia.)
