Australia scores eight finalists at the shortlist stage of the LIA Music & Sound category

Australia has scored eight out of a total of 59 shortlisted entries in the medium.

Melbourne-based AIRBAG worked on the Magnum Photos Fund campaign via TBWA Singapore which scored three finalists “Marilyn”, “The Beatles” and “Ché”. Finch Company, Sydney has been shortlisted for University of Western Sydney “Deng Adut“, Leo Burnett Sydney, for Samsung Galaxy S7 “The Anthem“, Rafael May Music, Sydney for Cadbury “Marvellous Creations”, Rumble Studios, Sydney for Tourism Tasmania “Tourism Tasmania Brand 2015” and Song Zu, Sydney for Samsung UHD “Another World Awaits You“.

The United States (15) and United Kingdom (12) are leading the way.

Factory Studios, London four entries shortlisted, whilst BBDO New York, MassiveMusic and TBWA\Singapore have picked up three nominations each.

Led by jury president Sander van Maarschalkerweerd of Sizzer Amsterdam, this year’s judging panel consisted of Sam Ashwell, Scott Cymbala, Peter Holcomb, Abby Sie, Rani Vaz and Brian Yessian.

Winners will be announced on 2nd November.
