Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney bolsters digital creative offering with the appointment of Tim Smith
Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney has added Tim Smith to its ever-growing creative department.
Smith started his career at Colenso BBDO in Auckland first as a developer then digital creative before moving to Sydney three and a half years ago. He joined BMF Sydney as a creative technologist before his contract was randomly updated to say copywriter. He signed it anyway.
During his time at BMF he worked on a broad range of clients including ALDI, Meat and Livestock Australia and Central Park mall.
Says Mike Spirkovski, ECD, Saatchi & Saatchi: “Tim is an extraordinarily smart guy, this combined with his dry and wacky sensibilities creates a top notch creative talent. I feel very lucky to have him as part of our team and look forward to creating some very special work here at SaatchI & Saatchi.”

Nice one Tim!
Just what Saatchis need: a technoligst….
Big congrats.
Saatchis are well and truly on their way to becoming a digital powerhouse. They’re clearly getting geared up for digital banners, apps, mrecs, and other social media innovations.
‘Clicks’ and ‘Likes’ boys, that’s the future.
Thanks Trent!
Good hire. Smart guy. Is there anyone left over at BMF?
Looking forward to catching up for a beer soon mate.
Timbo. He loves hugs, he does. Hug him a lot and he will both recoil like a rattlesnake or whatever, and do a good advertisement.
Good hire. Congrats Tim!
Nice one Tim. Strong.
Bring on many, many paragraphs!
Ka Pai Timbo, you’re a massive win for Saatchis. However you could’ve worn a shirt with a collar for your PR shot.
Best legs in advertising… great hire.
Nice work Tim. Hope they never make you wear pants.
Well done mate!
Tim rocks Great operator, lucky to have him
A new set of cubicles to play Candy Crush in and test your sleuthing skills.
Bon appétit sir.
He got legs for days. He got ass for weeks. Don’t stop Tim. Get it, get it. That’s real.
Hey Tim,
Before you left New Zealand, you lent me a fishing rod. Well, I took that fishing rod and fished with it and whatever. Anyways, long story short. I left New Zealand and put the fishing rod in storage.
Well, today when someone told me you were on Campaign Brief, I was like “Oh jeez, here we go about that fishing rod” – and then it was like, “hey wait a sec, Tim’s got another job – nice one and that.”
Soooo, what else is new, aye?
Good on ya PhatCat.
Can I just take this opportunity to tell you how much I fancy you. Basically I sit on your island of desks, and I’m far too shy to tell you how much I like you in person. I think that you’d be too shocked if you found out who I am, as I’ve not really known you that long and everyone will be quite shocked too. You are firkkin smoking’.
Nice work Timmy!
It’s hard to understand why BMF lets its most talented creative leave. Too much of a bright and witty geek for those old schoolers, I guess.
Well done Tim!
