Says Matt Boss, ANZ managing director products & marketing: “We’re very pleased that this flagship campaign celebrating diversity, inclusion and respect has been recognised at such a prestigious event, particularly considering the global brands that were also shortlisted.
“Being only one of a handful of Australian companies to be awarded a Grand Prix award is testament to both the talented marketers we have here at ANZ and our creative agencies led by Whybin/TBWA.”
“This was the first time we’ve exclusively used social channels to engage with our customers and the response was overwhelming with more than 17 million people globally exposed to GAYTMs via social channels such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.”
The Outdoor jury, presided by Jose Miguel Sokoloff, President, Lowe Global Creative Council and CCO Lowe SSP3 Colombia, looked at 5660 campaigns and shortlisted 501. They awarded 18 gold, 40 silver and 70 bronze trophies.

Well done Tara and Daniel!!!! Amazing work from amazing people.
Top shelf. Great stuff, chaps.
Great idea Andy. Well deserved son, you should be mighty proud.
Congrats to everyone – especially Tara & Daniel who poured their heart and soul into making this as great as it was!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Go Lishy!!!!!
That’s huge. Grand Prix. For a word pun. Not a visual pun, a word pun.
This is so fucking great. Well done to all at TBWA Melbourne.
Looking good Mulldogg
Tara & Daniel you are one talented team!!! Congrats!!!
Perhaps the credits on best ads could also reflect the massive contribution suits have in this sort of success. It’s a team effort to get big courageous ideas like this up.
Well done Whybin Suit team whoever you are.
Well done mr Lish, your idea I believe – let’s hope there’s credit where credit due.
PS: Why did Tom Cruise pick up the award?
@ Something’s missing, check the Cannes website.

From what I’ve heard, this was an idea by Andy Lish.
Is that correct?
This a great achievement and well done all involved. But surprised it beat the BA Magic Of Flyer outdoor.
Is that where you go for the pink dollar?
Well done to the winners.
Oh, wind your necks in you lot.
Everyone and their pet fish got a credit. Whybin’s isn’t the kind of place to leave names off the list.
Fucking great achievement by a great bunch of people.
Well done to all involved.
@ Something’s missing: surely you didn’t join account management for the accolades? Get used to it – it’s a shame as often good suiting can sell an idea more than anything else, but as far as awards go we only make the arrangements. A pint and a nod from your boss and the team is better than a kick up the arse.
Chin up mate.
I agree with wow.
Cannes grand prix for a pub joke that offended large sections of the gay community and at best was a feeble pun.
